🛝 New playgrounds coming to Jupiter 
The Town of Jupiter has approved the renovation of 3 playgrounds–Maplewood Park, Jupiter Community Park and Indian Creek Park. They plan on renovating all of the Town’s parks over the next 5 years.

🛢️ Tar balls on the beach 
Beachgoers from Palm Beach down to Fort Lauderdale reported the presence of Tar Balls (soli or semi-solid fragments/lumps of oil). The U.S. Coast Guard is currently investigating the cause.

🏫 Vanderbilt reveals renderings for WPB campus 
Take a look at the proposed $520 million WPB Vanderbilt campus. It will span a total of 300,000 square feet and serve 1,000 graduate students. Construction should start within the next five years.

🚦 Traffic relief coming to Downtown WPB
Okeechobee Blvd (from 95 to Flagler) could see smoother traffic flow thanks to new traffic-detection tech. By late 2026, special cameras and sensors will help keep lights green longer during jams. It’s a wait, but hopefully worth it.

🏨 New hotel coming to Loxahatchee 
A new Home2 Suites by Hilton has been approved and is set to be built in Loxahatchee. The hotel will be part of the larger Groves at Town Center development located on the NE corner of Southern and B Road. Loxahatchee continues to grow and shows no signs of slowing down.

🛍️ Volcom at the Outlets might close soon
Liberated Brands, which operates Billabong, Quicksilver and Volcom stores, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will shut down all 124 locations across the country. I couldn't find anything on if they plan on having any sales before closing their doors but keep an eye out for that if you're a customer.

⭐ PBC could have its first Michelin Starred restaurant
For the first time ever, Michelin inspectors are checking out our local restaurants, meaning we could finally see some spots earn those coveted stars. Can’t wait to see who makes the cut later this year!

🧑‍🍳 Thomas Keller plans on opening a new restaurant in WPB
Legendary chef Thomas Keller, known for his world-class restaurants, is bringing something special to West Palm Beach. He originally planned to revive Palm Beach’s iconic Ta-boo but that was scrapped. Now he is currently eyeing a new spot on Flagler, right across the street from the new Estiatorio Milos. Not official yet but that's the word around town.

🛒 New Whole Foods in Boca
West Boca finally has its own Whole Foods! The brand-new location at 9560 Glades Road opened its doors on Feb. 11, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
