🍽️ Kapow! and Sassafras close their doors, plus more
Kapow and Sassafras have quietly closed in downtown West Palm Beach. Kapow! is rebranding (WPB location only) as Shanghai’d, grand reopening next week with a menu featuring Kapow! favorites plus new Szechuan and Cantonese dishes. Sassafras will be replaced by a new Indian concept. There is also an update on The Hacienda, with plans on opening before the end of the year. You can read more about what The Hacienda is here. 🏓 Palm Beach gets a Major League Pickleball team
Palm Beach has its own Major League Pickleball team, the Palm Beach Royals. It’s the highest valued franchise in MLP history. The team is set to debut in 2026, but no word yet on who’ll be on the court for the Royals.

🛒 Mini IKEA showroom coming to Boynton
Best Buy and IKEA have teamed up for a new in store collaboration, where shoppers will be able to walk through an IKEA kitchen and storage showroom inside select Best Buy locations. You’ll be able to design your own kitchen or laundry space on the spot. Only 10 stores in the country will feature the IKEA showrooms, and one of them is right here in Boynton at 550 N Congress Ave, Boynton Beach.

🎨 West Palm Beach announces new 8-story mural
The City of West Palm Beach has announced that a brand new 8-story mural is coming to The Spruce in the heart of Northwood. Designed by local artist Renee Phillips, this stunning piece will become the tallest mural in the city once it’s complete.

Say hello to Lightning McQueen, aka Mr. Photogenic. This handsome guy is full of energy, loves the outdoors, and is always up for a car ride. He’s part of the Peggy’s Picks program, which means he's a standout pup with lots of great qualities. Next up is Diana Ross, a sweet calico who is full of love. She enjoys sunbathing by the window and is a big fan of soft, gentle cuddles. Both are ready to find their forever homes!
