🍳 New Breakfast Spot in WPB
Cream Gourmet, a popular South Florida breakfast spot, has opened a new location in downtown West Palm. They serve breakfast all day, along with a variety of lunch and dinner options. You can find them where Yolk used to be, 216 Clematis St, West Palm Beach.

🔒️ CityPlace Restaurant Closes
Planta at City Place closed its doors last week. The popular vegan chain had filed for bankruptcy a few weeks ago, and this location was one of the first to go. 

🏗️ County Approves Controversial Limestone Mining
Two major sugar companies have been given the green light for their “The Southland Water Resource Project.” A long term plan to excavate limestone from their properties in SW PBC over the next 34 years and sell it to make roadbeds. Once the mining is complete, the land will then serve as a reservoir capable of holding 40 billion gallons of excess water from Lake Okeechobee.

☕ Oceana Coffee Grand Opening
Oceana Coffee is opening their newest location in Lake Park and will be celebrating with grand opening events all weekend long. They will be giving away free drinks and cookies, and offering $2 brewed coffees. The new location is at 1301 Tenth St, Lake Park.

🚲 E-Bike Raffle For WPB Residents
If you live in select neighborhoods north of Downtown West Palm, you’re eligible to enter a raffle to win an e-bike valued between $900 to $1,000. The goal of the raffle is to support West Palm residents who don’t have access to a vehicle. 

🥓 Pig Beach BBQ Now Serving Breakfast
The popular barbecue restaurant in West Palm Beach is now serving breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m, Tuesday through Sunday. So if you’re in the area early, be sure to stop by and give it a try. Just keep in mind it’s take out only.

🛝 New Playground For Kids With Special Needs
Patch Reef Park in Boca has a new playground designed to be accessible for children with special needs. It features wheelchair compatible swings, slides built into hills instead of ladders, and the entire space is fully fenced in. I love this idea and think there should be more playgrounds like this throughout the county.

Meet Darla, a beautiful 1 year old female Red Heeler mix. She might be a little shy at first, but giver a minute and her goofy, playful side will shine through. And say hello to Petey, an adorable little kitten who is always on the hunt for his next cozy nap spot.
