A new world-class school is coming to Palm Beach County

🏫 New school coming soon
Palm Beach County will have a new school opening in 2028. Wingrove Academy, a PreK-12 private school, will be built on the K-Park site in Wellington. The school will offer a variety of programs and will be rooted in core values centered around sustainability. The campus will span roughly 45 acres and feature a strong connection to the environment, with an indoor/outdoor design that’s visible in the renderings. Side note: K-Park is the mini downtown development planned for the 70 acre lot on the SW corner of Stribling Way and State Rd 7. Read more about that here.

🚧 Railroad crossings to close in Gardens
Three railroad crossings in Palm Beach Gardens will be closing for maintenance. The first closure is at Donald Ross Rd & A1A, which will remain closed until Saturday at midnight. Next up is Northlake Blvd at A1A, which will close Saturday at 6 PM and reopen Tuesday at midnight. Finally, Burns Rd at A1A will close Tuesday at 6 PM and will open back up by midnight on Thursday, August 28.

🏥 New hospital coming to Gardens
Universal Health Services, who owns Wellington Regional, is currently building a brand new hospital in Alton, right off of Pasteur Blvd. Once completed, it will be one of the largest hospitals in the county.

🏗️ Lowe's coming to Westlake
The Westlake City Council has approved Lowe’s plan to build a 147,000 square foot store in Westlake. Construction is expected to begin this fall and be completed by late next year or early 2027.

🍽️ "New" restaurant opens in Lake Worth
Pomona, the casual sister restaurant of Ravish Off Ocean in Lantana, VERY quietly opened its doors on July 16 in downtown Lake Worth. It’s not your typical bar and kitchen type of spot. Once you step inside, you’re met with a warm and elegant atmosphere. They serve everything from buckets of fried chicken to bowls of crispy beef lo mein. And of course, many delicious cocktails. They’ll be having their grand opening ceremony next Thursday. Check them out at, 717 Lake Avenue, Lake Worth Beach (next to the LW Playhouse)

Adoptable Pets

This week, I’d like you to meet Elma, an adorable two year old pup who’s patiently waiting for her furever home. She’s a total social butterfly who loves spending time with people and other dogs. Elma is part of Peggy Adams’ Dolly’s Dream Dog program, which means she has been specially selected as a great fit for family life. 

I would also like to introduce Tiger, a cute little tabby kitten with the most adorable pointy ears. She loves playing with her toys and, like any curious kitten, is always on the look out for new spots to nap in. She’s sure to bring lots of love and energy into her new home.
