🍽️ New restaurant is coming to Jupiter
Fabricant Farms is a new restaurant concept opening in the space formerly occupied by the beloved Farmhouse Cafe in Jupiter Farms. It will be more than just a restaurant, they’re adding an ice cream shop and even an arcade. They’re planning to open this fall and will be located at 16891 Jupiter Farms Rd, Jupiter
🛒 Palm Beach Gardens has a new grocery store
Plum Market is now open in Gardens, marking its second Florida location. Think of it as a mix between Fresh Market and Trader Joe’s. You can find it at 2410 PGA Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens
🏗️ A new luxury residential tower is coming to WPB
Banyan Group is making its U.S. debut right here in downtown West Palm with Banyan Tree Residences West Palm Beach, and will be located at 400 Hibiscus St. The luxury tower will feature 88 private residences starting at $1.9 million, along with many resort style amenities.
🪦 Cemetery in West Palm may soon undergo a major transformation
Woodlawn Cemetery, the historic 17 acre site in downtown West Palm, could soon be transformed into a cultural park. The plan would reimagine the landscape and open portions of the cemetery to the public for community events, all while preserving its historic roots.
👋 A CityPlace classic is saying goodbye
After 25 years, City Cellar, the beloved American wine bar and grill in CityPlace, is officially closing its doors on May 24, 2026. The reason for the closure is due to lease renewal issues. Sad to see another CityPlace classic go.
🍔 Ford's Garage is coming back to Palm Beach County
After suddenly closing in Wellington back in 2022, Ford’s Garage, the popular 1920s themed burger and craft beer restaurant, is making a comeback this time in Boynton. There’s still no official opening date, but I have a feeling it’s right around the corner.

📍2175 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd, West Palm Beach
A couple of weeks ago, I stumbled upon this small sandwich shop tucked inside a gas station. And I had no idea I was about to have one of the best Philly cheesesteaks in town.

⛽ Inside A Gas Station??
Yes, The Chop Shop is located inside a Chevron gas station, but don’t let that be the sole reason why you won’t give it a try. Their setup is clean and well put together, with a space that feels like its own little spot completely separate from the rest of the gas station.
🥪 One of The Best Philly Cheesesteak in West Palm
I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and wow, did not expect it to be so good. The bread was perfect, and the meat, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese all came together to form a very delicious sandwich. I’ve had a handful of Philly cheesesteaks around West Palm, and honestly, this might be the best one in the city.
🧾 On The Menu
The Chop Shop doesn’t only sell sandwiches, they also serve wraps, salads, burgers, quesadillas, and even flatbreads. I’ve only been twice and had the Philly both times, but this might be some of the best food you’ll find in any gas station in the area.
🕳 A Local Hole In The Wall
The Chop Shop isn’t some big name franchise or has ties to any celebrity. It’s a true local hole in the wall, run by two local guys who just care about putting out really good food at prices that won’t hurt your pockets. Spots like this used to be everywhere around the county, and now they’re slowly fading. I highly recommend giving this spot a try.

📍199 N Ocean Blvd, Pompano Beach
🎟 Admission: Free - $25
The nation’s first jellyfish museum just opened up in Pompano Beach!

🏫 A Museum Dedicated To One Creature
The entire museum is dedicated to jellyfish, featuring over 25 species displayed in softly lit tanks that really highlight their movement and unique shapes, along with some fascinating facts about them. It’s also the first jellyfish museum in the country.
🔆 Beautiful Displays
They did an amazing job with the lighting in the display tanks. The colors make the jellyfish pop and almost look like they’re glowing as they drift through the water. It's honestly mesmerizing to watch, and it feels more like an art gallery than a marine exhibit.
🪼Why Jellyfish Are So Fascinating
Jellyfish have been around for over 500 million years, making them one of the oldest animal species still alive today. They don’t have a brain, heart, or bones, yet they’ve survived and adapted across every ocean on Earth.
🤔 Final Thoughts
The museum is beautifully designed, but it is quite small, and I do think it’s a little overpriced. You can get through it in under 20 minutes or spend closer to an hour, depending on how into jellyfish you are. I recommend checking it out as an add-on to a beach day or a quick afternoon outing in the area.
